Finow | Messingwerksiedlung

• Established in 1917/18 to guarantee water supply for the tenants of the Messingwerksiedlung (housing estate for the workers of the brass manufactory)
• Principal work of the architect Paul Mebes
• Widely known as one of the earliest examples of German brick expressionism style
• Base: 11 x 11 meters
• 50 meters high; tower made of yellow bricks
• Not used as a water tower since 1964
• Ongoing renovation since 2002
