Launch of the seed library

Lending will start on Friday, 28 February 2025, during regular opening hours.

In 2024, the Eberswalde City Library took part for the first time in the nationwide "Lending Seeds - Harvesting Diversity" project organised by the Verein zur Erhaltung der Nutzpflanzenvielfalt e.V. (VEN). The aim of the organisation is to preserve old crop plants and the knowledge about them.

After a successful first year and the positive feedback from many gardeners, the seed library will be continued in 2025!
