Half a century: Daycare centre "Pusteblume" celebrates its 50th anniversary

"Hip, hip, hurray - the 'Pusteblume' daycare centre is celebrating its birthday, how wonderful!" This is the motto of the "Pusteblume" daycare centre's big anniversary celebration on Saturday, 15 February 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The centre at Ringstraße 184 has been in existence for 50 years, which means half a century of educational support for numerous generations of Eberswalde children. Together, we would like to take this joyous occasion as an opportunity to look back and reminisce. The warm invitation is also extended to "all the people who have enriched and enlivened this place from 1975 to 2025", as daycare centre director Paula Thormann-Schmidt emphasises; "feel welcome, share your experiences with old acquaintances, tell your stories and meet curious people. Let's kick off an anniversary year together and look back on 50 years of a joyfully colourful place of learning that inspires us to try things out.
We look forward to seeing you".
The keys to the "new Kombi III" were handed over on 15 February 1975 in Eberswalde-Finow. This abbreviation was used in GDR times to describe a standardised design for children's facilities known as a "children's combination". The crèche and kindergarten were housed separately in one building.
