The Funding guideline to support outpatient medical care aims to stabilise and further expand medical care in Eberswalde. In conjunction with the measures of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of the State of Brandenburg (KVBB), incentives are to be created in particular for practice takeovers, new start-ups or expansions within the city area.

Working together for reliable medical care

The KVBB is the Brandenburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physiciansit is a public corporation and performs important tasks in the healthcare sector in the federal state of Brandenburg.

The Brandenburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVBB) ensures that outpatient medical care is guaranteed in the state of Brandenburg - in other words, that patients can receive medical and psychotherapeutic treatment at any time. It represents the interests of practising doctors and psychotherapists vis-à-vis health insurance companies, politicians and other institutions. It also organises the medical on-call service and is responsible for billing medical services to health insurance companies.

The project "Town seeks doctor" makes publicly visible where there is a need for doctors and shows practice locations that are urgently looking for successors. In this way, the KVBB actively contributes to securing local medical care in rural areas. The support provided by the KBVV is compatible with our urban support programme.
