Culture is an integral part of social life in our town and has developed into a location factor for Eberswalde. The city supports cultural projects by means of subsidies, in accordance with a guideline on municipal cultural funding (cultural funding guideline) adopted by the city councillors.

Cultural concept Eberswalde

A cultural concept for the city of Eberswalde was developed in a participatory process between cultural professionals, the cultural advisory board, representatives of the city administration and interested parties and adopted by politicians in 2024.

The aim is to make Eberswalde's cultural landscape fit for the future: through increased participation, new formats, closer cooperation and culture as a location, lifestyle and community factor. Culture through participation.

Review of our workshop: "From idea to funding - cultural funding in Eberswalde"

On 19 March 2026, the Amadeu Antonio Citizens' Education Centre (BBZ) hosted the first workshop"From the idea to funding - cultural funding in Eberswalde"took place. We were delighted that over 30 cultural and artistic professionals took part. The focus was on questions about the city's new cultural funding guidelines, the requirements for a good application and the fundamental question of how cultural funding can be effectively organised locally. Afterwards, the participants took the opportunity for an open exchange, to get to know each other and to further develop joint project ideas.

With this and future workshops and programmes, we want to break down barriers, share knowledge and strengthen your cultural commitment in a targeted manner. And we continue with an invitation to the Cultural Education Network Meeting.
