Cordial invitation to the Citizens' Reception 2026!
On Saturday, 18 April 2026, the city of Eberswalde once again invites you to the Citizens' Reception. From 3 pm to 6 pm, the Kranbau site will be transformed into a festival for the whole family.
The 2026 venue was deliberately chosen to showcase a remarkable success story of the region and make it tangible for everyone.
In recent years, Kranbau in Eberswalde has undergone a process of renewal. After a difficult phase, a consistent reorganisation and strong commitment from staff and managers, the company was awarded the Brandenburg Future Prize in 2025.
This development symbolises Eberswalde's innovative strength: the city proves that it continues to be an important industrial location with extensive expertise and a long tradition. The citizens' reception aims to honour and highlight this success story and bring it to life for everyone.

- Interesting guided tour through the steel construction hall
- and a family festival with music, information stands,
- Snacks and lots of activities for children, such as merry-go-rounds and creative activities:
- Presentation of the photo archive of the former crane building from GDR times
- overview of municipal events in the year 2026
- Presentation of all 15 municipal daycare centres with insight into the digital daycare portal and information on the new daycare platform
- Kettcar race track, a sub-soccer table, a sports game box and a participation game
- Technology from the volunteer fire brigade

The international band from Berlin will perform their very special mix of cheerful chanson
of cheerful chanson, swing and virtuoso jazz for 11 years.
