There are lots of great places to meet up in Eberswalde. You probably know far more than we can list here. Of course, there are our two youth clubs in the Brandenburgisches Viertel and at the main station, which are always open to you. But there are also a few meeting places that we’ve designed for you and with you, so that they encourage you to spend a bit more time there.

Club am Wald
At the Club am Wald youth centre, children and young people will find plenty of ways to spend their free time. The large grounds feature a volleyball court, a skatepark and BMX track, as well as a table tennis table and a table football table. The premises feature various areas available for voluntary use, such as a creative, cooking and media area, a chill-out corner and a pool table, including a table football table.
The focus of activities at Club am Wald is on open-access social spaces and group work. The services and activities are tailored to the interests, preferences and needs of the visitors. Furthermore, the centre offers topic-based individual and group discussions, information sessions and conflict counselling with problem identification.

STINO Youth Club
Since it opened in 2015, the STINO Youth Club (in the former bus station building) has been open to all young people aged 10 and over, offering a wide range of activities:
- An open drop-in centre for young people aged 10 and over
- Advice and support with school-related, social and general problems A separate counselling room is available for confidential discussions. We are bound by a legal duty of confidentiality!
- Job application training + help with writing application letters
- Homework support
- Projects and activities, e.g. STINO Kitchen
- Pool table
- Table tennis table
- Band rehearsal room
- Parties and information sessions
The staff look forward to welcoming all visitors.

My work with young people in the Eberswalde area involves a wide range of tasks, opportunities and stakeholders. Two youth clubs, youth social work (street work), initiatives and programmes run by various independent organisations, project funding, youth participation and ‘lobbying’ for young people’s interests – as a youth coordinator, I try to juggle all of this. I often don’t know where to start ;-).
Through collaboration between young people, the local authority and city politicians, a a youth strategy and support programme for the town of Eberswaldehas been developed, which has proposed specific measures to further improve the services available to young people.
Eberswalde Youth Dialogue
The Youth Dialogue (JudiE) is an initiative designed to encourage young people to participate actively and directly in political life in the town of Eberswalde and encompasses a wide range of approaches intended to enable you to have a say in shaping the community. One particular initiative stands out. Every year, we award a maximum of €2,000.00 to various project ideas put forward by young people. Anyone aged between 10 and 21 can take part – whether as a group, a clique or an individual. TheJudiEs Nightwill take place this year on2 October 2026 at the Eberswalde Family Garden from 4 pm to 7 pm. Thesubmission of ideasispossible until 28 September 2026.
Support for children’s and youth work in the town of Eberswalde
Children’s and youth work in the town of Eberswalde aims to promote participation and empowerment. Alongside the family and institutions such as nurseries and schools, it represents an independent sphere of socialisation. Children and young people should be encouraged in their development and supported in pursuing their interests, whilst being provided with stimulating environments in which to live and flourish. In Eberswalde, children and young people are given the opportunity to engage actively and creatively with their own skills and potential, to develop these, and to pursue and express their interests.
Youth coordination involves, in particular, observing the living environments of children, young people, young adults and families, as well as initiating and supporting measures and programmes tailored to the needs of the target group, always in collaboration with the many stakeholders involved in child and youth work in Eberswalde, i.e. with clubs, organisations and initiatives, as well as with schools.
