‘Wings, Fur and Fins’ by meela loewenherz

On 16 June 2026, the exhibition “Wings, Fur and Fins” by the artist Melanie Frank, also known as meela loewenherz, opened at the Town Hall. The exhibition can be viewed during regular opening hours on the gallery floor (2nd floor) of the Town Hall.

Meela loewenherz worked as an occupational therapist for 15 years and was able to channel her passion for creative work into her role, particularly when working with children. She also offered creative workshops as part of this work. In July 2026, the artist will open her own studio, ‘Farbwerkstatt’, in Eberswalde, with the aim of further developing her artistic practice and inspiring people of all ages to engage in creative design.

For the past four years, she has been devoting herself intensively to watercolour painting, combining this with her love of nature and animals. In this exhibition, her works showcase the uniqueness, delicacy and strength of both native and exotic fauna.

The exhibition is expected to run until Friday, 11 September 2026, at Eberswalde Town Hall. Further insights are also available on the artist’s Instagram profile at @meela.loewenherz.
