Election assistants wanted

European and local elections will be held in Eberswalde on 9 June 2024. In addition to the Eberswalde city council, a new district council and a local advisory council in the Clara-Zetkin-Siedlung district will also be elected. To ensure that the elections are carried out properly on election Sunday, we are looking for electoral assistants who would like to volunteer in one of the 37 electoral boards at a local polling station or in one of the 6 postal voting boards.

All citizens interested in taking on an honorary electoral office are kindly requested to contact the electoral authority of the city administration, which can be contacted as follows:

E-mail: wahlhelfer@eberswalde.de
Phone: 03334/64-158
in person or by post: Breite Straße 41-44 (town hall), 16225 Eberswalde.

In order to be appointed to an election committee, you must be authorised to participate in the election. It is therefore possible to participate as an election assistant from the age of 16. No special prior knowledge is required. The members of the electoral boards (election supervisor, secretary and their deputies) are trained in advance or instructed in their tasks on election Sunday. The members of the electoral boards receive a refreshment allowance for their work on election Sunday.

The refreshment allowance for the election day and the counting of the votes cast for the European elections, the district elections, the election of the municipal council and the election of the local council of the Clara-Zetkin-Siedlung is 70.00 euros per polling clerk and 50.00 euros for all other polling clerks.

For postal voting committees, the refreshment allowance for counting the votes cast for the election of the municipal council and for the election of the local council of the Clara-Zetkin-Siedlung is 60.00 euros per election committee member and 45.00 euros for all other election committee members.

The staff at the electoral authority are happy to receive any reports and will be happy to provide further information.
