Eberswalde celebrates: The Waldstadt Festival enters its third round

The Waldstadt Festival returns and once again brings music, attractions and a summery atmosphere to the streets of the city centre. After two successful years, visitors can look forward to a weekend full of encounters, exciting programme items and unforgettable festival moments on Friday, 5 June 2026 and Saturday, 6 June 2026.

"The Waldstadt Festival epitomises our understanding of a city festival: open, creative and, above all, communal. A festival like this thrives on participation, encounters and the courage to want to change. I would like to thank everyone who put their heart and soul into making this special event possible," explained Mayor Götz Herrmann in 2025.

This year, the audience can expect a varied programme on eight stages: from live music and dance performances to acrobatics and street art, there is something for every taste. The programme features a dynamic line-up of national stars and newcomers as well as regional talent, which will also showcase the local creative scene. The line-up includes Ritter Lean, Udo West, Greta, Tyna, Remote Bondage, Easy Easy, Boviy, The Livelines, Kord, Laser Ludi, Lönneberger, Alenna Rose, Schuppendisco DJs and many more.

The festival starts on Friday, 5 June 2026, at 6 pm with a concert by The Livelines on the city promenade. For the first time, there will be a parallel programme on the stage in the inner courtyard of the Paul Wunderlich House on the opening evening: the Brandenburg Concert Orchestra will perform a candlelight concert (from 8 pm). On Saturday, 6 June 2026, the programme starts at 10:30 a.m. and also lasts into the night.

But the Waldstadt Festival is more than just music: the family festival organised by Sparkasse Barnim focuses on games, fun and hands-on activities. The "Park of Clubs" presents the diversity of regional volunteering in the midst of the urban greenery and next door, interested parties can gain exciting insights into educational and future prospects at the HNE Eberswalde university information day. This and much more awaits the guests of our city festival.

The Waldstadt Festival invites you to discover new things, experience familiar things with a fresh perspective and create shared memories. City life meets festival feeling as an integral part of the Eberswalde summer!

Admission is free for everyone!
