District administrator election 2026
On 19 April 2026, the main election for the District Administrator 2026 will take place in the district of Barnim. On this day, all Eberswalde residents who are eligible to vote can go to one of 37 polling stations. The corresponding polling cards will be sent out in the first half of March.
It is also possible to vote by post.
From now on, all eligible voters can use the postal voting centre in the town hall at Breite Straße 41-44 in 16225 Eberswalde to collect their postal voting documents and cast their postal vote on the spot. The postal voting centre is located on the 2nd floor in room 206 and is open as follows
mondays from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m
tuesdays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m
wednesdays from 8 am - 12 pm
thursdays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m
fridays from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (on 17 April 2026 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.).
Postal voting documents
From 09 March 2026, postal voting documents can also be ordered electronicallyherecan be requested here.
Note: By applying for postal voting documents for the main election, you will receive postal voting documents again in the event of a run-off election if the tick is also placed next to "Ballot paper for the Barnim district council election".

If no candidate achieves the necessary majority in the main election, a run-off election will be held on 10 May 2026. Further information will follow from 23 April 2026.
