City Cycling 2026 in Eberswalde
A successful review: facts and figures
The town of Eberswalde can look back on a successful participation in City Cycling 2026. From 10 to 30 May, 1,343 cyclists in 59 teams covered a total of 186,339 kilometres. This resulted in a reduction of around 30.5 tonnes of CO₂.
This year’s event marked Eberswalde’s 11th participation in the international campaign. The involvement of schools was particularly encouraging: 990 pupils from eleven schools collectively clocked up numerous kilometres by bike, thereby making a significant contribution to the overall result.
Since the campaign began more than ten years ago, a total of around 1.4 million kilometres have been cycled in Eberswalde. This equates to a saving of approximately 222 tonnes of greenhouse gases.
The town of Eberswalde would like to extend its warmest thanks to all the teams, individual cyclists and the participating schools for their tremendous commitment.
