“Colourful and humorous” – New exhibition at the Kleine Galerie
Opening on 4 September 2026 at 6 pm
On Friday, 4 September 2026, at 6 pm, the 324th exhibition will open at the Kleine Galerie in the SparkassenFORUM.On display will be expressive acrylic paintings and humorous watercolours by the artist Rita Volkmann (Rosetta Art). Sabine Marks will deliver the opening address, whilst harpist Emily Hoppe will provide musical accompaniment for the event.
Rita Volkmann is originally from the Uckermark region. Her career path first took her to Eberswalde and subsequently to Berlin. Today she lives and works in the Fläming region, where she runs her studio, ‘Villa Pünktchen’. She works closely with other artists and is actively involved in the local art and culture scene.
With bold colours and a palpable zest for life, the artist combines depth with lightness. She playfully creates vibrantly coloured paintings on canvas as well as humorous small-format watercolours. Her works are moving, bring joy and may even alter one’s perspective on life by countering the gravity and tension of certain situations with humour and colour.
The town of Eberswalde is delighted to offer a colourful insight into Rita Volkmann’s work through this exhibition and invites all art lovers to visit.
The exhibition is expected to run until 7 October 2026 during the SparkassenFORUM’s opening hours.
