Replacement construction of the Erich-Steinfurth-Straße bridge in Eberswalde
Work to replace the bridge over the Mäckerseekanal in Erich-Steinfurth-Straße will begin on Friday, 13 March 2026.
On behalf of the city of Eberswalde, work to replace the bridge over the Mäckerseekanal in Erich-Steinfurth-Straße will begin on Friday, 13 March 2026.
The construction work is expected to take around one and a half years. During the construction period, the bridge area must be completely closed to pedestrian, cycle and motor vehicle traffic. A wide diversion route will be signposted accordingly.
The properties on the western side of the bridge can be accessed from Finowfurt during the construction period. The properties to the west can also be reached on foot or by bicycle via the towpath.
The utility companies, the post office and the emergency services have been informed about the closure measures.
