“The Good Life” – Anniversary Week at the Amadeu Antonio Community Education Centre

To mark the 80th anniversary of the municipal library, the City of Eberswalde, together with the organisations and initiatives based at the Amadeu Antonio Community Education Centre, have organised a week of celebrations under the motto “The Good Life”. From 5 to 10 October 2026, there will be a varied programme featuring, amongst other things, concerts and readings, films and theatre, exercise and dance, talks and discussions, as well as plenty of hands-on activities. This colourful mix also reflects the breadth of cultural life in Eberswalde.

Alongside well-known and established performers, “The Good Life” will also welcome numerous guests to the BBZ to round off the celebrations, such as the “Rosa Hoelger Bande” and “Jahcoustix”, Simone Veenstra and the film director Rand Beiruty. To mark its 80th anniversary, the City Library is handing out literary surprises at the “Blind Date with Reading” event and, from October onwards, will also be offering members free access to the “filmfriend” streaming service. As well as a “quiz for young and old”, the anniversary week will also feature readings and other attractions at the library.
